Queenstown Urban Farm Tour
Simply put: gardening is great! Not only do you get to taste the literal fruits of your labour, studies have also shown that gardening combats, stress, depression, and anxiety, and can contribute to better physical health.
Experience the mental clarity and physical wellness that nature brings, by joining Edible Garden City’s farmers for a multi-sensory interactive walk through our unique urban farming solution, including stops at our indoor microgreens room, outdoor gardens, and container farms. Learn about the closed-loop and minimal-waste model of growing vegetables that we adopt here in our urban farm, and how farming could be used as a platform to create a more inclusive and healthy society. Find out how we are reconnecting city dwellers with nature, and about sustainable farming systems such as regenerative agriculture and food forestry.
Participants will be encouraged to use their senses to observe different aspects of nature during their walk and to take in sights and sounds that are often overlooked and taken for granted.
As part of the session, participants will bring home a RGB Grow Kit, that includes a packet of potting mix, seeds and self-watering planter (worth $29) to kickstart their gardening journey!
