SOCIAL EMPLOYMENT
As an inclusive social enterprise, we are passionate about hiring people from all backgrounds as well as those who are socially disadvantaged. Working with plants is therapeutic and rewarding, and our farm is specially designed to create a great work environment for everyone.
Currently, we work with the Autism Resource Centre to provide employment for differently-abled young adults.

Volunteers will assist with tasks like basic garden maintenance (weeding, pruning, watering etc), composting and transplanting. The work is outdoors and may be physically demanding.

URBAN FARMER
Edible Garden City is excited to add to our family! We are looking for an Urban Farmer on a full-time basis to join our dedicated team to contribute to food resilience in Singapore. The appointee can relish the opportunity to work within nature and be part of shaping the future of farming in Singapore.
This role entails:
1. Growing local produce for restaurants (including more than ten Michelin- starred restaurants) and the community
2. Farming of crops, initially focusing on indoor growing
3. Tasks include: Seeding and transplanting, crop maintenance, harvesting and packing of fresh produce
4. Working alongside colleagues from the Autism Resource Centre
5. Any other ad hoc farm duties as required
Our ideal candidate is:
1. Willing to get his/her hands dirty, physically fit, and able to lift heavy bags of soil and materials
2. Eager to learn, with a keen eye for details, conscientious and able to plan ahead
3. An inquisitive and dynamic team player who is also able to work independently
4. Excited about and comfortable working with people from all walks of life
5. No prior experience needed, however candidates with prior experience or training in the following will have an advantage:

URBAN FARMING EDUCATOR ADJUNCT EDUCATOR (PART-TIME PER HOUR)
We are looking for adjunct educators to complement and support our team of full-time educators. You will be exposed to a wide range of clients, from pre-schoolers, to people with special needs, and corporate audiences. You will be working closely with our dedicated and resourceful team of educators in empowering Singaporeans to grow their own food, and to shape the future of education and wellness through urban farming and horticulture.
This role entails:

Executing gardening-based programmes and workshops.

Assisting with activation of event spaces for education purposes.
Our ideal candidate has the following qualities:

Strong command of a 2nd language (spoken and read) a bonus.

Strong interest in teaching an advantage.

Interested in horticulture or agriculture.

Enjoys working outdoors and doesn’t mind getting dirty.

Adaptable; thrives in fast-paced environments.

MARKETING EXECUTIVE

Edible Garden City is hiring a new Digital Marketing Executive. Join us at the forefront of the “Grow Your Own Food” movement in Singapore. Play a key role in building food resilience and sustainability awareness in Singapore, by planning and executing Marketing initiatives for our social enterprise.
The ideal candidate:

Is excited by content creation

Has a flair for the visual - knows what makes a good image or graphic and how to tell a story through a picture

Is adept at the usage of social media platforms and related tools;

Possesses design and photography skills

Is fluent in the English language, with some basic copywriting skills

Is creative and organised

Is a team player, yet able to work independently
Roles and responsibilities:

The candidate will work closely with the Head of Marketing to plan and execute social media and visual-based marketing strategies

Support sales and business development departments with client-centric marketing campaigns and revenue-generating programs

Keep on top of the social media calendar, posting on social media channels and the EGC website

Make use of different digital marketing tools like Google Analytics in strategising new and refreshed marketing initiatives
