Currently, we work with the Autism Resource Centre to provide employment for those with intellectual disabilities.

URBAN FARM EDUCATOR 🌷

We are looking for an educator to shape the future of education and therapy through urban farming and horticulture. You will be exposed to a wide range of clients, from pre-schoolers, to people with special needs, and corporate audiences. You will be working closely with our dedicated and resourceful team of educators in empowering Singaporeans to grow their own food.

This role entails:

  1. Planning and executing gardening-based programmes and workshops.

  2. Developing and curating urban farming curriculum.

  3. Managing multiple education projects, assisting with activation of event spaces for education purposes.

 

Our ideal candidate has the following qualities:

  1. Strong command of a 2nd language (spoken and read) a bonus.

  2. Strong interest in teaching an advantage.

  3. Early childhood experience a bonus.

  4. Interested in horticulture or agriculture.

  5. Enjoys working outdoors and doesn’t mind getting dirty.

  6. Adaptable; thrives in fast-paced environments.

 

This is a full-time role that requires weekends and PH from time to time.  We have a friendly culture and welcome folks from all walks of life!

URBAN FARM EDUCATOR (SG UNITED)🌱

Specific Responsibilities:

1. Planning and executing gardening-based programmes and workshops.

2. Developing and curating urban farming curriculum.

3. Managing multiple education projects, assisting with activation of event spaces for education purposes.

 

Technical Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong command of a 2nd language (spoken and read) a bonus.

  • Strong interest in teaching an advantage.

  • Early childhood experience a bonus.

  • Interested in horticulture or agriculture.

  • Enjoys working outdoors and doesn’t mind getting dirty.

  • Adaptable; thrives in fast-paced environments.
     

This is a 5-6 month attachment under the #SGUP for Mid-Career Pathways programme, and we welcome all eligible applicants according to SG United's requirements to apply. All Singaporeans and Permanent Residents, who have graduated from any educational institute in 2017 or earlier, are eligible for the programme. We will require successful applicant(s) to start as soon as possible.

GRAPHIC DESIGN INTERN 🌈

We are looking for a Graphic Design Intern to aid in the visual works related to urban farming and horticulture. You will be working closely with our Art Director and Marketing team to provide high quality imagery support to the entire Edible Garden City team.

 

This role entails support in:

1. Identifying opportunities for visual marketing.

2. Creating marketing collateral.

3. Liaising with manufacturers and suppliers.

 

Our ideal candidate has the following qualities:

1. Singaporean or PR currently enrolled in a tertiary institution.

2. Interested in agriculture or horticulture.

3. Proficient in the use of Adobe CC Suite Software.

4. Able to execute hands-on craft work, bookmaking and illustration.

5. Basic website design experience.

6. Familiar with social media set up.

7. Open minded, passionate and sensitive in the field of design.

 

This is an internship position, with fixed working hours for a period of 3 months. We have a friendly culture and welcome students with design capabilities from all institutions. Only applications from Singaporeans and PRs are able to be accepted at this time.
