Grow Your Own Food Series: Grow Microgreens at Home (also conducted in Mandarin)
This course takes participants on an exploration of the farm to see the many ways we can grow an edible garden, whether in soil or hydroponically, indoors or outdoors, in containers or special systems and setups. Seeing edible plants grow in these different ways will give participants insight into which method might best work for their own growing spaces.
The hands-on segment will allow participants to grow their own microgreens in punnets, so that even if they do not have a lot of space or sunlight at home, they can still grow their own food! This is a great starter programme for participants who have little to no experience with gardening.

Grow Your Own Food Series: Beginner's Guide to Vermicomposting (also conducted in Mandarin)
This programme is for urban farmers who are particular about how their edibles are grown and want to provide nutrients that are as rich and natural as possible. Many apartment-dwellers would find vermicomposting (composting with worms) a great way to upcycle kitchen waste and create nutritious compost for their plants.
This workshop will allow participants to understand about different kinds of worms, how to choose vermicomposting worms, how to set up and care for a worm bin and finally how to harvest vermicast to be used in their edible gardens. Participants come away from the workshop ready to champion sustainability through upcycling their food waste.
