Workshop 1 - Garden-To-Table: Microgreen Popiah Workshop (Sat 13 Dec 2025)

 

Experience the ultimate garden-to-table journey where you'll learn the magic of sustainable eating with locally grown microgreens and how to transform your harvest into delicious popiah rolls.

 

This workshop includes:

 

Part 1: Microgreen Workshop (1 hour) & Food Forest Tour (15 min)

Discover the fascinating world of microgreens and their impressive nutritional profiles! Learn how these nutrient-dense greens are cultivated sustainably right here in Singapore, contributing to our local food resilience.

 

You'll get to harvest your own microgreens and understand the importance of eating local for both sustainability and freshness. Join our urban farmers on a guided tour through Edible Garden City's Food Forest.

 

Part 2: Hands-on Popiah Making Workshop - 45 min

 

With your freshly harvested microgreens, dive into the art of popiah making! Learn how to prepare and assemble this beloved local dish. Discover how different microgreen varieties can transform the flavor profile of your popiah, adding unique tastes and textures.

 

Experiment with combinations and create your own signature rolls to take home and enjoy with family and friends!

Workshop 2 - Garden-To-Table: Korean Pancake Workshop (Sat 20 Dec 2025)

 

Experience a complete garden-to-table journey where you'll learn to grow your own sweet potato plants and transform freshly harvested leaves into a delicious Singapore-style korean pancake dish. 

 

This workshop includes:

 

Part 1: Sweet Potato Potting Workshop & Farm Tour  - 1 hour

 

Discover the wonderful world of growing your own food! In this hands-on session, you'll learn how to propagate sweet potato plants from cuttings, creating your very own potted plant to take home and nurture. Our urban farmers will guide you through a tour of Edible Garden City's growing spaces, sharing insights on sustainable urban farming practices in Singapore.

 

Learn about the impressive nutritional benefits of sweet potato leaves and why growing and eating local matters for both our health and the environment. 

 

Part 2: Korean Vegetable Pancake Cooking Class - 1 hour

 

With freshly harvested sweet potato leaves, you'll dive into creating a uniquely local twist on the classic Korean pancake dish! Learn how to prepare this delicious pancake dish incorporating local ingredients. Discover how sweet potato leaves add nutrition, flavor, and texture to your cooking.

 

Enjoy your own creation at the end of the workshop, celebrating the journey from garden to table!

  • 1. All workshop tickets are non-refundable and non-exchangeable.

     

    2. Any exchange of workshop dates or participant names will be considered on case-by-case basis. Participants should inform us of any proposed changes at hello@ediblegardencity.com at least 3 days before the actual day of the workshop. 

     

    3. In the case of no-show, late attendance or early departure, no refund, replacement, make-up or exchange will be made.

     

    4. This workshop might be cancelled if the minimum pax requirement is not reached. In that event, you will be notified one day before the stipulated workshop date via email.
